ourgoalwastocreateaneasy-to-usesetofDIrock&metalguitarsounds,
pushingtheenvelopeofrealismandestablishinganewstandardforelectric
guitarsamples.Wewerecontenttofocusstrictlyonrhythmplaying,with
theideathatperhapsothervirtualinstrumentswouldserviceforleadplaying.

However,asusefulastheoriginalShreddagewas,ourusersoverwhelmingly
desiredatruesequel:aninstrumentthatwouldtaketheincrediblerealism
ofShreddageandapplyittoacomprehensivelibrarycapableofleadplaying
aswell.Otherlibrarieshaveattemptedthischallenge,butthroughourown
experiencesandthewordsofourusers,wediscoveredcommonproblems:
bloatedmemoryandCPUusage,limitedrange,incomprehensiblemappingand
keyswitches,overlycomplexscripting,andalackofattentiontodetail&realism.
