Pervasive 資料庫的前身為 Btrieve。Pervasive.SQL 能讓企業同時擁有傳統資庫(如
Xbase，Cobol….)與關聯式資料庫，同時讓企業用戶在很短的時間內將傳統資料庫轉

舊名 Btrieve 的 Pervasive.SQL ， 是使用 Netware 用戶最熟悉不過的資料庫軟體，
因為在 Netware 舊有版本中， Btrieve 是免費贈送的，當時沒有一家非常專精的廠商
可 以提供這方面的服務，以致於許多Btrieve的用戶無法獲得第一手的資訊及服務。但
在1998年Pervasive 在台灣找到一家在網路界耕耘頗久的代理商-旭昇資訊，並同時推
出最新版本-Pervasive.SQL 2000i，Pervasive.SQL 2000i 是目前唯一支援Transactional
及 Relational 的資料庫，並可讓您傳統的應用軟體輕鬆昇級到SQL資料庫，同時還可支
援Netware及NT平臺，讓用戶不用在更換網路作業系統時就必需面臨更換資料庫軟
